The year in review at ivehadit.app/recap puts your own numbers for the year so far, or the last 30 days, on a few cards: feeds you didn't open, time back, your longest streak, your reflex hour and the feed you paused at most. Nobody sees it unless you make a share link, and you can revoke a link at any time.

What's on the cards

Each card only shows up once there's enough behind it. A new account gets one or two cards, not six zeros.

CardWhat it showsShows up when
Feeds not openedFeeds and pause screens you stopped at, minus the times you went in anywayAt least one stop
Time backThe same estimate as the dashboard: 7 minutes per stop, plus 3 per scroll check you stopped at30 minutes or more
Longest streakThe most days in a row within your daily budget, and how many days were on target in all2 days in a row or more
Reflex hourThe hour of the day you reached for a feed mostAt least 5 reaches in that hour
The feed I paused at mostThe site where you stopped at the intent gate and said why most oftenAt least 3 pauses
What I came for mostThe reason you typed most often at the pause. Only you see this oneYou typed the same reason twice or more
Quick passesLinks opened for a few seconds, then shut againAt least 5

Use the tabs at the top to switch between the calendar year so far and the last 30 days. The last 30 days is handy early in the year, or when you've just started.

Where the numbers come from

The cards add up the daily totals your devices sync to your account, across every linked browser and phone. Days count from your first sync, so time before you signed in on a device isn't in it. "On target" uses the daily budget you have set now.

Sharing a recap

  1. Open /recap and pick the year or the last 30 days.
  2. Tick Show my first name if you want it on the cards. It's off by default.
  3. Press Make a share link. On a phone the share sheet opens; on a computer, copy the link.

The link opens a page with the same cards, the numbers frozen as they were when you pressed the button, and a button to try I've had it. It never shows what you typed at the pause, your email, or anything else from your account. The page asks search engines not to index it. See privacy.

Every live link is listed under the Share it card on /recap. Press Revoke next to one and the page stops working straight away. Its preview image changes to a generic card too, though an app that already showed the preview may keep its old copy for a while.

Questions

Can other people see my year in review?

No. /recap is only visible when you're signed in. Other people only see a recap if you make a share link and send it to them.

No. It freezes the numbers when you make it. Make a new link later for newer numbers, and revoke the old one if you like.

Why does my recap only show two cards?

Cards with too little behind them are left out. A few more days of use fills in the streak, reflex hour and the rest.

Is time back exact?

No. It's the same rough estimate as the dashboard: 7 minutes for each feed you didn't open. The card says so.
