What the extension reads

The extension only runs on Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, YouTube, TikTok, X, Reddit and LinkedIn, plus this website. On those sites it reads the page address to tell a feed from a single post, and asks Chrome how the page was opened (typed, bookmarked or clicked) to decide between a pause and a 30-second pass. It never sees pages on any other site.

What syncs to your account

Once you’re signed in, each device sends daily totals to your account every 15 minutes: minutes on each supported site, how many feeds were stopped, how many 30-second passes and scroll checks there were, how often you reached for a feed in each hour of the day, and the reasons you typed at the pause screen. Your plan (limit, modes, the line about what you want more of) syncs too. That is what lets your dashboard, and later the phone app, show the same numbers everywhere.

What never leaves your device

The addresses of the pages you open, what you looked at on them, and anything you do on sites the extension doesn’t watch. The extension only ever turns those into the totals above.

What your account holds

Your name, email address, a hashed password if you set one, the synced totals and plan described above, and a list of your devices (for example “Chrome on Mac”) so you can remove one. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.

Who we share it with

Nobody, apart from the services that run the site: Vercel hosts it, Neon stores the database, and Resend sends sign-in emails. We don’t sell data, show ads or use your numbers for anything except your own dashboard.

Deleting your account

Email hello@ivehadit.app from the address on your account and we’ll delete it within a week. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored on that computer, and removing a device from your dashboard stops it syncing.
