**Feed-free hours** adds a recurring window when watched feeds stay shut. Your usual site modes still apply outside that window. Set it under protection settings on your [dashboard](https://ivehadit.app/dashboard), review the draft, and choose **Save protection settings**.

## Choose your days and hours

Choose **Work hours** for weekdays 09:00–17:00 or **Evenings** for every day 20:00–23:00 to load a draft. You can adjust either template before saving. The draft preview shows whether that window is active now and its next start or end in this browser's local time.

For a custom window, turn on **Schedule feed-free hours**, select at least one weekday, then choose a start and end time. The default is weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00. Start and end must differ.

Times follow each browser's local clock, including daylight-saving changes. If you travel, the hours follow that device's local time rather than a fixed account timezone.

An end earlier than the start runs overnight. For example, **Monday, 22:00–07:00** closes watched feeds from Monday night through Tuesday at 07:00. You do not also need to select Tuesday for that morning. The start is included; the end is not.

## What stays available?

- Sites set to **Untouched** remain untouched.
- Specific pages and links keep their usual pauses or quick passes.
- Messages stay available when **Messages always open** is enabled.
- Deliberate unlocks and purchased hours keep their advertised windows.

A scheduled feed lock overrides ordinary intent sessions and unused daily-limit minutes. During the window, the feed screen says **Your feed-free hours are on**. An already-open visible feed checks the clock every 15 seconds, so the screen can take up to 15 seconds to appear at the boundary. A background tab checks again when you return to it. Disabling the schedule or reaching its end restores the site's usual rules.

The protection check also shows the next start or end when this browser reports a supported schedule matching the displayed account plan. The preview updates every 30 seconds and follows real clock changes, including skipped or repeated daylight-saving hours.

## Browser support

Scheduled hours require **extension 0.7.0 or later**. If the dashboard cannot confirm support in this browser, it asks you to update and refresh & sync. Open your browser's extension manager to check the version. Chrome users can enable Developer mode and choose Update. Refresh existing social-site tabs after updating the extension.

These scheduled hours do not apply to native phone apps. They also do not replace the separate **No feeds before noon** setting. If both apply, either restriction can close a feed.

## Save, change or turn off a schedule

Changes stay in a draft until saved. Presets keep your schedule. To remove it, turn off **Schedule feed-free hours** and save the protection settings. Devices pick up the plan on their next sync; use **Refresh & sync** to check this browser immediately.
